Pialligo Estate Wedding

[lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”false”] Pialligo Estate is one of the wedding venues that you want to come back over and over again.

Amazing views, plenty of spots for a bridal photoshoot or a ceremony and attentive, welcoming hosts make this place one of the go to venues to celebrate your nuptials.

As with all our couples, we discussed all the details of the day beforehand with Isa and Kieran. They had their ceremony at All Saints and Ainslie. One of the most beautiful churches. It used to be a train station in NSW. But it was purchased for just $1 dollar and the building was relocated to Canberra to become this architectural beauty.
Then, after an afternoon tea and a family photos we planed to travel to Pialligo redwood forest for a few happy snaps.

However, just a few days before the big day we saw on the news that the forest is on fire. Walter Burley Griffin’s 100 years old grove of majestic Redwood trees was one of the victims of 2019-20 Australian bushfire catastrophe. It was just minutes away from the wedding Pialligo Estate.

Fortunately the fire was contained and the venue was fine. But the road was closed and we urgently had to come up with an alternative. But then we had another thing that complicated the search. A lot of beautiful leafy parks were damaged the previous weekend and closed to the public.

[lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”true”] It couldn’t be more stressful for the couple. Even so, Isa and Kieran were staying calm and positive.

Of course, we had to do everything in our power to help them out and adjust to the circumstances. We arrived to Canberra the day before and scouted a new spot in Weston Park. Having an experience of living in Canberra for two years has its benefits. We know where to look for stunning spots for a photoshoot.

The wedding went brilliantly. We could go on and on about it in so many words. But what could be better than see it by yourself.
And having this amazing people to leave a review like this is just the icing on the cake: “We absolutely LOVED having Anton and Raya as a part of our wedding day! They were very responsive and accommodating in the lead up to the wedding day, and super helpful with scouting for locations last minute when bushfires threatened our original location.

Not only did they make us feel completely at ease about the photos throughout the day, the photoshoot was one of the most fun parts of the day. My husband has said a number of times that if he was do it all again and was only able to keep one thing from our wedding day, he’d choose our photographers. We received the stunning photographs very promptly which was great, and we even got a sneak peak of some of the photos during the reception. We can’t thank Anton and Raya enough for capturing the day!’
